T.W. Fendley began writing fiction full-time in 2007, culminating a decade of inspiration and study that began at the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop.  While researching story ideas, she fell in love with ancient American cultures. Since then, her explorations have included travel to archeological sites in the Yucatan, Peru and American Southwest.

A 1980 journalism graduate, Fendley was managing editor of a small-town daily in southern Arkansas before returning to Little Rock – her hometown – as a reporter for the statewide daily.  In 1986, she embarked on a 20-year career in corporate communications that took her to New Orleans, Washington D.C. and St. Louis. While in New Orleans, the Crescent City Writers and George Alec Effinger's science fiction workshop introduced her to fiction writing.

Her story, "The Fourth Treatment," won the 9th North American Science Fiction Convention 2007 writing contest. Fendley belongs to the St. Louis Writer's Guild.

When they’re not busy with creative pursuits, she and her husband, John Schnellmann – a talented visual artist – enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. She also hosts a blog on Associative Remote Viewing: www.arv4fun.com
