 ORBS AND OTHER PHOTOGRAPHIC ANOMALIES

The term "orb" was created to describe round objects, usually white, that tend to show up in photos and video taken in places thought to be haunted. The nature of these photographic anomalies, and their movement in video, has led investigators to theorize they might represent a form of spirit energy. Other photographic oddities include vortexes and rods.

Many anomolies show up on video tape, especially when filmed in "night shot" infrared mode. Some come and go in the blink of an eye. It takes many hours of studying video tape shot in haunted locations to find these signs of life beyond death. We must correlate the photographic phenomena with other evidence such as cold spots, fragrances, and noises before we can begin to claim it's something paranormal.
