OF CHARACTERS AT THE DEAD AND BREAKFAST INN
LINDA - Hostess and Narrator at the
fictional Bed and Breakfast Inn. Forty-something, blonde-haired and
blue-eyed, with a love of all things mysterious - that's the reason
for the spooky atmosphere at this themed B&B! Linda is a mystery
writer and a bit of an amateur sleuth, and you'll begin your
journey as she meets and greets this weekend's guests. She notices
that some of her guests seem to know each other, and she tries to
figure out the connection. Things keep getting stranger as people
mix and mingle, until one of the guests is murdered! Then Linda
tries to figure out who done it - can you help
her?
LONNIE - The
ultra-creepy butler - six feet six inches tall, with flowing jet
black hair and deep, penetrating eyes. He's been a loyal servant at
the Dead and Breakfast Inn, helping to entertain weekend visitors by
acting a part, complete with an evil laugh! But Linda doesn't know
everything about Lonnie, he's only been at the Inn for a year. Does
he have something to hide?
PRUDENCE - Serving as the live-in cook and maid for the Dead and
Breakfast Inn, this fifty-something spinster is thin and quite
unattractive, with a sour disposition. Only employed
there six months, Linda hasn't been too sure about her work
performance. Her cooking just isn't quite up to par for a luxury
B&B, and she's been put on notice that she's to shape up or
else! This doesn't help the tension this weekend at the Inn - and
Prudence seems to be acting stranger than usual - staying up late to
work on her cooking skills, or maybe for a different reason -
she does have a penchant for sharp knives and bloody rare
beef...
CYNTHIA SNODGRASS - Linda met Cynthia at a writer's club meeting and invited her
to stay the weekend. Cynthia is a freelance journalist, and wanted
to do a piece on Bed and Breakfast Inns for a travel magazine. Linda
welcomed the publicity. But Cynthia, who seemed nice when they first
met, has suddenly developed a chilly mood since all the guests
arrived - she's keeping to herself in the isolated third floor guest
room. She even asked to be excluded from the group meals, insisting
on having Prudence at her beck and call during her stay. So Linda
obliged - not wanting a bad review for the Inn - and hasn't seen
much of Cynthia...
MELISSA JAMESON - This twenty-something brunette bombshell housewife came
to the Inn with her new husband Mark - they wanted to take their
belated honeymoon at a unique B&B, and the Dead and Breakfast
Inn fit the part. Melissa also dressed the part, in black silk and
stilettos, with a lot of expensive jewelry. She seemed to be after
only one thing the whole weekend - sex - the more the better! Her
husband Mark seemed over tired, but was he already tired of his new
wife?
MARK JAMESON - Thirty-something with brown hair and brown eyes, rugged good
looks, and the stamina to keep up with his bride Melissa. He claimed
to be an accountant with a firm in Dallas. He managed to sneak away
for a break from all the hot action, and nobody could find him
for awhile Saturday afternoon. Linda noticed he kept winking at her
all weekend, and she thought it was just an inside joke about sexy
Melissa, until late Saturday night...
FLORENCE HART - A
friend of Linda's from high school, Florence recently found out
about the B&B and decided to have a reunion with her old chum.
But forty-something Florence isn't the same shy gal that Linda knew
all those years ago. A secretary who's already married and divorced
two former bosses, now she's job hunting and husband hunting again.
She brought a man with her to the Dead and Breakfast Inn - someone
she's only known for a few weeks. Florence didn't used to behave
like a tramp, and Linda seemed disappointed that their reunion was
rather strained. Florence was evasive all weekend - she seemed
to have a lot of secrets...
JOE FLEMMING - A
tall, dark, charismatic man with a British accent. Florence's
traveling companion for the weekend at the Dead and Breakfast Inn,
Joe claimed to be an investment broker - doing rather well he
said... Linda grew a bit weak in the knees when he gazed into her
eyes. Too long without a companion of her own, Linda was ashamed to
be jealous of Florence! Yet Joe did seem interested in Linda,
and he also seemed to recognize Cynthia - what was the connection?
