Iona McAvoy  is a native Floridian but has long considered Texas her true home. She even married a native Houstonian, Monty McAvoy, to prove it!  Having lived in Houston and then being transferred to Minnesota, Georgia, and New York, it was to Houston she finally returned. Iona is an employment attorney, with a prior career as an environmental lawyer, corporate counsel and litigator. Iona was living in New York, just outside Manhattan during 9/11. She lives in the Heights area of Houston, Texas, with her husband, and her furbabies.
