Gilda A. Herrera is a fiction writer based in Texas. She wrote her first short story when in the third grade. Her writing genres include science fiction, horror, the paranormal, and middle-grade young-adult. Her work has appeared in Beyond Centauri, Twilight Times, Orion's Child, Stories that Lift, Stories for Children Magazine, and MyLight Magazine. She graduated from the University of Texas(Austin) and worked for many years as a print journalist in Texas and Washington, D.C. She is an avid reader, short-wave radio operator, and gardener.
