ORBS AND OTHER ANOMALIES
The term "orb" was created to describe round objects, usually white, that tend to show up in photos and video taken in places thought to be haunted. The nature of these photographic anomalies, and their movement in video, has led investigators to theorize they might represent a form of spirit energy. Other photographic oddities include vortexes and rods.
Many anomalies show up on video tape, especially when shot in the infrared "nightshot" mode. Sometimes these oddities come and go in the blink of an eye. It takes many hours of studying video tape, shot in haunted locations, to find these hidden treasures. It helps when they correlate with other phenomena such as cold spots, fragrances, noises or other odd feelings people have of "something" present nearby.
