Gary Kraus, M.D. is Director of Neurosciences and the Gamma Knife Center at West Houston Medical Center and Chairman of Neurosurgery at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. He is Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Kraus is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and has been listed in “Best Doctors in America,” “Houston’s Top Doctors” in H Texas Magazine for four years, and “Who’s Who in America.” He is the author of Microsurgical Anatomy of the Brain: A Stereo Atlas and numerous articles in peer-reviewed neurosurgical literature, as well as chapters in neurosurgical textbooks. Dr. Kraus earned a BS in electrical engineering and physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MD from SUNY/Stony Brook. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the St. Louis University School of Medicine and a fellowship in neurovascular-skull base surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
