Originally hailing from the Heartland, Douglas Allan Dean has been an adopted New Yorker since the mid-seventies. He’s plied such trades as office staff, chauffeur, bartender, ice-cream parlor manager, actor, TV producer, general contractor, and real estate appraiser. He’s been writing since 1981 and has the rejection slips to prove it. Prior to his inclusion in Mysteries, Dreams, and Darkness, his work was published in Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine. He and his producing partner are currently working on an independent film comedy which he authored. Doug is an associate member of the Mystery Writers of America and working toward his private pilot’s license.
