ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Deirdre Verne is the curriculum chair of marketing at Westchester Community College, where she has been teaching for over seven years. Prior to joining the faculty Verne worked in new product development and marketing for Time, Inc., representing magazine titles such as Fortune, Money, and Parenting. She holds a BA in economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Hofstra.
