I Love a Parade! by Gayle Wigglesworth
Glenda's feeling of freedom really only lasted a few hours, until her car broke down in the Texas Hill Country. The garage owner recommended she use a bed and breakfast in the small picturesque town instead of the motel on the highway, while she waited for the part they needed to fix her car. So she was enjoying herself even though she was not where she intended to be. And when she found out about the parade, she started to feel lucky. But that only lasted until she found the body, then she felt trapped, and scared, and decidedly unlucky.
