Although Cyndi’s initial dream was to be Nancy Drew, she decided the next best thing was to become a mystery writer. After graduating with a BA in History and a brief sojourn in law school, she quickly realized the necessity of a weekly paycheck. Putting aside her literary longings, she applied for a job as a receptionist with a real estate office. Her career eventually led to a position as President of a national mortgage banking company. Cyndi has received numerous awards, including “Most Gross” in golf, but her favorite award was “Boss of the Year” presented by the Association of Professional Mortgage Women. After one too many corporate mergers, Cyndi decided that murder would be far more entertaining than mortgages. Her experiences with a multitude of on-line dating sites and dating agencies fueled the concept for DYING FOR A DATE. Her books are set in Northern California, in the former gold country town known as “Hangtown”. Her second novel DYING FOR A DANCE will be set amidst the glamour and deadly competition of the Ballroom Dance world. Cyndi writes a monthly column entitled “HOT FLASH” for the Gold River Community Newspaper. Her short story, TEA TIME, is included in the 2008 CAPITAL CRIMES ANTHOLOGY. Cyndi is the past president of the Sacramento chapter of Sisters in Crime. She works with several non-profits including the Sacramento Opera, the National Kidney Foundation Annual Author’s Luncheon, and the Center for Violence Free Relationships. She has two wonderful adult children who live too far away. Her L&L Dreamspell Books and Anthologies: Dying for a Date
