Cathy Noonan has known she wanted to be a writer since her first rejection slip as a third grader when she submitted work to her teacher who returned it with a lecture on disturbingly realistic tales and how they were not appropriate for her to be writing.

She has lived the first half of her century quite well, blessed with two daughters and a loving husband of twenty-five years. She considers every day a gift and an opportunity to “try again” where goals are concerned. She is not a procrastinator as much as she is a day-dreamer, living her character’s lives (and deaths) when she is writing.

When Cathy is not writing, she is selling vintage jewelry to mostly East coast customers, or helping her husband around their West coast ranch. She is glad they opted for the 40 acres over the original plan of purchasing 400. She now knows how time consuming even a smaller parcel can be when livestock and hay crops are added to the mix.
