ABOUT THE AUTHOR Multi-talented Houston, Texas writer and director Cash Anthony is a former newspaper editor, librarian, and trial attorney. She's been recognized for her screenplays and short films, including Taking up Serpents, which was a Second Rounder at the 2006 Austin Film Festival, and a finalist at the Film Expo Texas 2006. Her adaptation of Ninth Lord of the Night, the Adventure/Mystery novel by Diana L Driver, is presently under consideration for several 2007 screenplay awards. Her Texas friends and colleagues in the film community helped produce these shorts, but the writing, directing, and all post-production work was done in-house by her creative consulting company, The Master Strategy Group. Her life experiences as an attorney as well as her adventures on cross-country motorcycle trips inspire her stories. She researches the towns where her entertainments are played so she can include historical facts as clues, as well as lost objects, crossword puzzles and anagrams. These plays include: The Secret of the Acequia Stone, Death by Chili, The Saga of a Sore Loser, Murder Mayhem and Monkey Business, The Case of the Baker's Bonanza, and A Case of Cabin Fever - which was the first Virtual Murder Mystery played worldwide on the Internet, in October 1994! Cash was also the editor of a reference book on Texas government, The Guide to the State Agencies, 5th edition, published by the University of Texas Press.
