Carole Fowkes is a registered nurse with a BA in Communication. She is published in various Chicken Soup for the Soul titles, A Cup of Comfort, and is a freelance writer for the Dallas Morning News and the Plano Insider. She is a long time member of the Frisco Professional Writers Association.

She currently resides in Texas and is happily married, unlike many of her characters.
