Once upon a time...

Caitlyn grew tired of city life and moved to a small town in Maine, in the middle of a sprawling forest - surrounded by trees instead of people. It was in the woods where Caitlyn met the "Muses" - a covey of fairy-like creatures. Born story-tellers, these fantastical beings entertained her with stories and poems. Her favorite, Hunter, captivated her heart with his romantic tales.

Inspired by the Muses, Caitlyn wrote her first story, and when it was accepted for publication she thanked Hunter for his help by releasing the book under the pseudonym of Caitlyn Hunter. Her second manuscript, based on one of Hunter's stories, earned first place in a contest, and was also published.

All was well, except she missed being around her family so she moved back to the south, to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Once more she's surrounded by woods, and visits with the "Nunne'hi" - a tribe of little people who tell her the myths and legends of her Cherokee ancestors. Those ancient stories inspired her to write Caitlyn's Eternal Shadows series.
