ABOUT THE AUTHOR A native Texan, Betty Gordon moved from Dallas to the Houston area to fulfill her destiny - she met and married a wonderful man, built a beautiful home on three and a half wooded acres, and raised three sons. She also has a Maltese dog who thinks he's one of her sons! DANCE--During her years in Dallas Betty taught Belly Dancing, and performed in Dallas and Fort Worth nightclubs. After moving to Houston she continued teaching Greek-style dance. LEGAL FIELD - While pursuing a degree at a Houston University Betty worked as a paralegal - some of her writing is inspired by her many years in the "legal arena" as well as her time in law school. After a year and a half studying law she decided to switch her career path to writing and the arts. WRITING - Betty graduated with honors with a B.S. Degree in Professional Writing. She then went on to earn a Masters degree in Literature (creative writing) and Visual Arts from the University of Houston Clear Lake. SCULPTURE - A sculptor who enjoys exploring the themes of ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Africans, Betty creates a variety of pieces including shields, spears, heads, garments, and also does studies of dancers and women in repose.
